One photo, every day. A good one someday.

Still on the bandwagon

I’m still taking a photo every day, but for some reason my Tumblr won’t upload photos anymore.  Perhaps my internet connection is the problem.  My photos are fine:

  • JPEGs
  • Under 500 KB
  • 1200 x 900 pixels

Every time I try to upload, Tumblr says it will take at least 16 minutes, and then I get an error message or a blank page.  Oh well, I’m working on it.

What I’ve learned so far

  1. Using a Blackberry is great training to get close, because being distant doesn’t work!  (Unfortunately, this rules out landscapes for now.)
  2. Natural light is the best!
  3. Adjusting hue/saturation colors can help take out blotchy noise.
  4. My first or second shot tends to be the best composed.
  5. I’m gaining a new appreciation for muted colors, even though I like to have one or two colors that pop.

Six

…the number of photos I take per day, minimum, to get one I’m not too ashamed to put on the internet. Will demonstrate.
